RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards
How to enter – step by step guide
- Select which award(s) you wish to apply for
- Read all information and guidance for your chosen award(s) in the Guidance Notes (PDF format 661kb)
- Complete all required entry form sections, and ensure the form is countersigned by appropriate senior management and workforce representatives
- Fill in the Safety & Health Expo registration details in Section 6 (if required)
- Supply brief notes on the circumstances of any fatal/major injury accidents, serious incidents, cases of ill-health and enforcement action
- Answer the ten ‘Key Performance Questions’ (KPQs) in the same order as in the entry form, in no more than five A4 sides (total)
- Support your answers with clearly cross-referenced documentary evidence
- Secure your completed entry form, KPQ answers and supporting information all into ONE rigid A4 binder –maximum thickness 7.5cm/3" (Achievement Award 3cm/1" recommended). N.B. Use of more than one binder is permitted only for Specialist Award entrants (see below)
- If entering for one or more Specialist Awards (The RoSPA International Dilmun Environmental Award, RoSPA Training Trophy, The Occupational Health Award (Astor Trophy) or MORR™ Award), please ensure the submission(s) are clearly marked and separate from the Achievement/Sector Award entry and from each other
- Check your entry is complete using the ‘Before you send your entry’ checklist (see Entry Form – inside back cover)
- Send your entry submission(s), together with the correct payment to RoSPA.
CPD Points – You may like to consider recording the development you obtained in preparing the RoSPA award submission towards your Continuing Professional Development as required by IOSH. A rough benchmark would be 2 Credits per day’s activity.
