The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is a unique organisation. As a registered charity established over 80 years ago, RoSPA is dedicated to saving lives through accident prevention in all walks of life. In addition to being a key figure in accident prevention worldwide, RoSPA is also a leading health and safety training provider and innovator in consultancy and audit services.
The Society enjoys the support of Members from local government, to industry leaders and as the founder of the annual RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, the longest running awards scheme of its kind, RoSPA is truly immersed in the world of safety.

RoSPA Events
RoSPA’s varied schedule of events ranges from annual Congresses in areas of road, home, workplace and water safety to Seminars and Conferences that cover key issues such as Managing Occupational Road Risk, Behavioural Safety, Corporate Manslaughter; including the innovative Safety Awareness Exchange which allows you to tailor your own event.

RoSPA Safety Resources
RoSPA produces a wide variety of useful safety resources, many of which are in conjunction with corporate sponsors. The resources range from firework safety leaflets sponsored by the HSBC to Domestos sponsored risk assessment computer package for children.

Affiliate Weblinks
The affiliate weblinks scheme is designed for companies wishing to demonstrate their commitment to health and safety, but with minimal effort.
By joining the programme, you will be able to place your logo and a direct link to your site on the RoSPA website, in a suitable area to be agreed. For example, if your company wishes to promote a specific safety message you can place this on a page relating to your message.
In exchange, you will also be able to place the RoSPA sponsor banner on an applicable section of your site to demonstrate that you are a sponsor of RoSPA’s work.

RoSPA Fundraising and Donations
Like all charities, RoSPA’s work benefits greatly from the support of the general public. RoSPA’s dedication to its work in UK and European Government and in local community has been a primary influence in enhancing safety for all over the last 90 years.
For example, RoSPA was key to the introduction of seatbelt laws in 1983 and is continually working with Government agencies to improve road and driving standards in the UK.
In 1948, RoSPA produced the Building Regulations Handbook containing all the safety legislation affecting building operations.
In 1991, after five years of campaigning by RoSPA, the Government agreed to make it mandatory for all domestic appliances to be sold with plugs to reduce deaths by electrocution.
