Summary of Countries
As more and more countries are looking into the issue of the use of mobile phones, particularly whilst driving, they are also having to face the problem of occupational road safety. More countries are starting to develop national policies on the prevention of occupational road risk e.g. Austria and Great Britain. However for some countries it is still a very new issue e.g. Belgium. The majority of the European countries include commuting accidents in their statistics (as they are recognised and covered by insurance, with the exception of the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands).
