LAST CHANCE FOR BUSINESSES TO ENTER RoSPA AWARDS
Now is the last chance for businesses and organisations to show their commitment to safety at work by entering the UK’s leading safety scheme, The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents 2001 Occupational Health and Safety Awards, sponsored by RMC Group plc.
The awards are open to all sectors of industry and commerce, including healthcare, chemicals, local government, food and drink and transport and distribution. Special emphasis is being made on RMC’s own industry sectors - construction and quarrying.
Last year there were nearly 900 winners, and the closing date for entries to the 2001 awards is March 5.
Businesses large and small have equal chances of winning an award. Previous RoSPA award winners range from international companies such as PowerGen, Bovis BP and Toyota, to smaller companies such as Nottingham-based steeplejacks, Central (High Rise) Ltd.
Presentations to the winners will be made on May 22 and 23, at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole, alongside ‘Safety and Health Expo 2001’, at the NEC. A ceremony will also be held in Glasgow, in early September, alongside RoSPA Scotland 2001.
