The hunt is on to find the best young drivers in Britain. The competition, organised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Advanced Drivers Association, is aimed at drivers up to 24 years-old – the group most at risk on our roads. Organisations from the UK’s construction and construction engineering industries are to be honoured by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents for their outstanding safety records over the past year. More than 380 construction and construction engineering firms have achieved recognition for good health and safety practice. Greater commitment to working as partners is needed from everyone involved in occupational health and safety if deaths, injuries and ill-health are to be reduced, delegates at a national conference organised by RoSPA will be told next week.
