NEW WEBSITE FOR FLEET MANAGERS

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has launched a new website specifically designed for fleet managers.

The Driver and Fleet Solutions site - www.rospa.com/drivertraining - is RoSPA’s direct route to safer, cost-effective fleet management.

As well as providing full details of RoSPA products and training courses, it has factsheets on subjects such as speed cameras, mobile phones and driving, safe journey planning, winter driving and choosing safer vehicles.

There are useful links to other safety websites, government departments, publications and organisations at home and abroad.

Information is given about RoSPA’s latest products to help fleet bosses. These include the Driver Profiler, a psychometric test using 98 questions that can determine eight different driver character traits, and SenseAbility, a virtual reality aid for cutting accidents among fleet drivers.

There are sections on the importance of managing occupational road risk and the latest situation with regulations and legislation.

Managers can find out about RoSPA’s National Safe Driving Awards scheme and the business advantages of putting employees through the RoSPA advanced driving test.
