TOP EUROPEAN ROLE FOR RoSPA ADVISER
Janice Cave, Public Affairs Adviser at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, has been elected President of the European Public Health Alliance.
The Alliance (EPHA) represents more than 90 non-governmental and other not-for-profit organisations working in support of health in Europe.
EPHA aims to promote and protect the health interests of all people living in Europe and to strengthen the dialogue between the EU institutions, citizens and NGOs in support of healthy public policies.
Janice has represented RoSPA at EPHA since 1998 and been a member of the executive committee since 1999.
"I am very honoured that my European colleagues have elected me to this position,” she said. “I also feel that it is important recognition that accident prevention should be at the heart of any public health activity at home or abroad."
Janice from Hall Green, Birmingham, is also RoSPA's representative on the European Child Safety Alliance, which campaigns for more action on child injury prevention.
