Institution of Occupational Safety and Health

Keeping up with and recording your professional development is a requirement of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’s (IOSH) new membership structure. The IOSH CPD scheme is based on self-allocated 'credits' so that you can decide how much an activity is worth to you.

Click here for guidance on the appropriate allocation of credits for IOSH.

CPD also allows you to demonstrate that you’re always striving to improve as a professional, which is important as health and safety is not a static profession, with both legislation and best practice changing regularly.

Further Institutions/Professional Bodies

Human Resources, Facilities Management, Road Safety, Home Safety and all other members of Professional Institutions can also benefit from CPD points. For details on allocation, please refer to the relevant professional body.
