Manual Handling and Postural Awareness This course will help to develop an understanding of posture, so that principles of correct moving and handling can be applied in all situations to prevent long term manual handling injuries that cost the individual and the business.

Safer People Handling Trainers This course is for Managers, supervisors and those with responsibility for educating others in the moving and handling of people within the health or social care sector. This training course can contribute to excellence in care as well as reducing injury rates. Each delegate learns on the course how to train other colleagues on return to the workplace.

Managing Stress and Violence This new course aims to empower managers to tackle the root causes of stress proactively, including where actual or threatened violence in the workplace occurs.

Essentials on Client/Contractor relationships This new course is designed to give contractors, or all those who manage contractors, the skills needed to work effectively. It is aimed at all industry sectors. Delegates learn the principles of contractor management as well as the responsibilities of clients to contractors and vice versa. They will also understand how to set the conditions of contract and how to bid for jobs successfully.

RoSPA Suite of Specialist Safer People Handling Courses Includes Hoist Awareness, Haptonomics Foundations and Theatre Practitioners, which are available either at an organisation's own premises or at specially-equipped People Care Centres in Birmingham and Glasgow, where delegates train in a realistic environment using a range of hoists, slings and small handling equipment.

Quality Safety Audit This unique system has been developed by RoSPA to provide a complete health and safety management audit system. Find out more about the business benefits of this system. We also offer the QSA Course where we can train a member of staff to become an approved auditor for your company. The course covers the skills and practices of effective safety auditing including developing an understanding of HSG65. Delegates will also be trained in the use of ORBIT, RoSPA’s new audit software, which is designed to facilitate quick and efficient auditing and reporting upon return to the workplace.
